His background as an educator gives him a unique ability to take complex software features and make them actually useful for busy contractors who need results, not more complications.

Starting in Customer Success at Builder Prime in 2020, Jess worked directly with home improvement contractors to understand their daily frustrations—from missed follow-ups to disorganized job schedules. This hands-on experience with real contractor challenges shaped his approach as he moved into Sales and eventually Product Management.

Before Builder Prime, Jess worked in fintech customer success, but it was his teaching background that really prepared him for the home improvement industry. Just like in the classroom, he knows that the best solutions are the ones people actually want to use. His clear, no-nonsense approach to product development has helped hundreds of home improvement companies get organized and grow their businesses.

When he's not making software simpler for contractors, Jess can be found cycling through Richmond, VA or exploring new roads on his motorcycle.
